The robust structure of the Superiore version of Lacrima makes it ideal for pairing with elaborate and flavourful dishes. Roasted meats are the perfect match, as are game and dishes with strong flavours that can stand up to the wine’s greater complexity.

It is the perfect companion for a platter of Marche cold cuts, in particular Fabriano lardellato salami and traditional ciarimboli (liver sausages), accompanied by strong cheeses.

It enhances traditional meat-based first courses, such as fettuccine or Maccheroncini di Campofilone with Marche ragù, where the wine’s superior structure can interact with intense and structured flavours, as well as second courses, with elaborate roasts and white meats with strong flavours.

Lacrima di Morro d’Alba Superiore represents the pinnacle of quality for this native Marche grape variety, offering a more intense and structured expression of the rolling hills of Ancona.

This superior version offers body and complexity, distinguished by its more substantial structure and long finish.

It retains its characteristic ruby red colour with violet reflections, presenting itself with greater chromatic intensity that reflects its superior structure. The olfactory profile is fruity and floral with evident sensations of rose, violet and blueberry.

The bouquet is more complex and persistent than the classic version, with notes that continuously evolve in the glass.

On the palate, it confirms the dry, savoury and pleasant character typical of the grape variety, but with a remarkably full structure. The great persistence in the finish is its distinctive feature, where the sensory characteristics linger, leaving a lasting and distinctive memory.
