Food Matches
The ‘Superiore’ version’s robust structure makes it particularly suitable for accompanying roast meats, game and dishes with strong flavours. Its longer finish allows it to stand up to meat main courses without being overpowered.
Excellent with a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, it also pairs perfectly with traditional meat-based appetisers and first courses. From red to white meats prepared with medium-high intensity, the structure of this wine expresses its full personality.
The Superiore version of Lacrima therefore offers a complex food and wine experience, where its important structure and long finish allow it to be paired with more complex and flavourful dishes, while maintaining the characteristic elegance and versatility of the grape variety.
Features
Lacrima di Morro d’Alba Superiore is the most structured and important expression of this native Marche grape variety.
It stands out for its greater complexity and a structure that allows it to be paired with elaborate and flavourful dishes.
Sensory Notes
It retains the characteristic ruby red colour with violet reflections typical of the grape variety. The nose is intensely fruity and floral, with distinctive hints of rose, violet and blueberry.
The bouquet of this version expresses concentration and aromatic complexity.
The flavour is dry, savoury and pleasant, distinguished by its long finish, where the characteristics of the grape variety express greater intensity and duration.
